Terms & Conditions

Last updated 4 November 2026

These terms apply when you use Auction X at auctionx.si. Auction X is operated by ECLIBZ LTD, a company registered in England and Wales, 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. You can reach us at support@auctionx.si. By signing in or using the marketplace you agree to these terms, our Refund policy and our Privacy Policy.

The service

Auction X is a marketplace for .si domain names. Sellers list domains they control; buyers bid at timed auctions or buy at a fixed price. We verify that the seller controls the domain, run the auction, take the buyer's payment through our payment provider Stripe, check the transfer with the .si registry (Register.si), and pay the seller. We do not own the domains listed, and we do not give investment advice about their value.

Your account

  • You sign in with Google, must be at least 18 and must give accurate information. One person or company per account.
  • You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else is using it.
  • We may suspend accounts that break these terms, for example through fake bids, listing domains you don't control, or abusing the service.

Buying and bidding

  • A bid is a binding offer to buy at up to your maximum. When you bid, your bank places a hold for your maximum on your card. Nothing is charged while you bid, and a losing bid's hold is released when the auction closes.
  • We bid for you one step at a time, only as far as needed to keep you ahead. Your maximum stays private.
  • A bid in the last 5 minutes extends the auction, by at most 24 hours in total.
  • If you are the highest bidder when the auction ends and the reserve (if any) is met, you have agreed to buy the domain at the final price. “Buy now” is a binding purchase at the stated price.
  • Your card is charged for the final price only when the registry confirms the domain has moved to you, or shortly before the card hold would expire. Buyers pay no fees to Auction X. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach us.

Selling

  • You may only list a domain you control and have the right to sell, and you must prove control with the DNS record we give you. We re-check listings with the registry and may pause one if anything changes.
  • A listing is an offer to sell. When an auction ends above any reserve, or a buyer uses “Buy now”, you have agreed to sell at that price.
  • You must start the holder change at your registrar within 2 days of the sale. If you don't, the buyer is released from the sale, and your account receives a strike.
  • Our commission is 5% of the sale price, deducted from your share, only when a sale completes. Listing is free.
  • On listings created from 4 November 2026, a transaction fee is also deducted from your share: what Stripe charges us for the sale, passed on at cost with no markup. It covers the card processing fee on the buyer's payment, which depends on the buyer's card, and Stripe's payout fee of 0.25% of your payout plus 10p (about €0.12), plus 0.25% when your bank is outside the UK. The exact amount is shown in the deal room once the buyer is charged. There are no listing, monthly or upfront fees: you only pay out of a completed sale. Listings created before that date keep the commission-only terms. If a sale is cancelled and the buyer refunded, you pay nothing.

Seller payouts

  • To sell, you set up a payout account with Stripe inside Auction X. Payment processing services for sellers on Auction X are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Terms of Service. By agreeing to these terms or continuing to sell on Auction X, you agree to be bound by the Stripe Services Agreement, as it may be modified by Stripe from time to time. You authorise us to share information about you and your sales with Stripe, and to give Stripe instructions about your payout account as described here.
  • When the buyer's card is charged, your share (the sale price minus our commission) is moved to your payout account balance at Stripe.
  • When the deal completes (the 24-hour inspection window passes, or the buyer confirms earlier), we instruct Stripe to pay that amount to your bank. Until then it stays in your Stripe balance; if the deal is refunded under these terms, we reverse that amount.

Transfers, inspection and disputes

After the seller starts the holder change, the buyer completes it at the registrar. We check the registry for the new holder and the buyer's private confirmation token. The buyer then has 24 hours to report a problem. If either side reports one, the deal is paused and our team reviews the evidence, then either completes the sale or refunds the buyer. Our decision is final as far as Auction X is concerned and does not limit your legal rights.

Refunds and cancellations

How and when buyers are refunded is set out in our Refund policy, which forms part of these terms. Because a domain is transferred to you at your request, completed purchases can't be cancelled after the transfer, except where the law gives you that right.

What you must not do

  • Bid on your own listings, or coordinate bids to push prices up.
  • List domains you don't control or that infringe someone else's trademarks or rights.
  • Arrange to complete a sale found on Auction X outside Auction X to avoid our commission.
  • Try to break, overload or get around the security of the service.

Liability

We take reasonable care in running the marketplace, verifying sellers and checking transfers. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or lost profits, and our total liability for any sale is limited to the amount paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, or rights you have as a consumer.

Changes, law and contact

We may update these terms; we'll show the date above and tell you by email about important changes. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim there. Questions: support@auctionx.si.
